For a pack of ski nuts, there are few combinations more motivating than this: coffee, 250 pairs of tuned skis, a free bus ride, bluebird skies and six inches of new snow. Needless to say, the first official day of the 2010 Backcountry Gear Test Week started off right.

Ski Area Boundaries Policy

February 10th, 2010

Powder Mountain is unique in many ways including the fact that it the resort sits entirely on private property and does not include Forest Service land. Ther resort is one of the largest skiable terrain resorts in North America encompassing over 5,000 acres of in-bounds terrain and 2,500 acres of side country, private cat ski and tour skiing areas.

Powder Mountain maintains a closed out-of-bounds skiing and riding policy.  Ski area boundaries are clearly marked on trail maps and signs. High traffic areas are additionally marked with bamboo, rope lines, and orange area boundary discs.

Please read the entire ski area boundaries policy at http://www.powdermountain.com/Powder%20Mountain%20Area%20Boundaries%20Policy.pdf
