MOUNTAIN ALERT

Mountain Update

We would like to make you, our guests, aware of the lack of snow at Powder Mountain and the possibility of a late season opening. We did finally receive a small storm this past weekend, which will create a great base for the north facing aspects. We only need about 10 to 20 inches to open most of the resort. Unfortunately, with the inversion settling in, we will see higher temps in the mountains. All Northern Utah forecasters are predicting this high pressure ridge to stay in place for at least another week which means clear skies and no snow. Things do change quickly in the mountains so please check the forecasts and our website often for the latest updates. Since we do not make any snow, these are the realities we sometimes have to deal at an all natural mountain who prides itself on providing a 100% natural skiing experience. A late start usually translates into a great winter so please keep up your snow dances and will make this a great winter once it arrives. We are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience this might cause for your long awaited trip to Powder Mountain. Check out SkiUtah.com for info on surrounding resorts who may be open.

CURRENT WEATHER CONDITIONS

#PRESERVINGTHEPOW

Preserving the Powder... it’s not just a slogan, it’s who we are and what we live for. We have added two new lifts and over 1,000 acres of lift serviced terrain this season, pushing our in-bounds skiable terrain to a massive 8,464 acres covered entirely by the greatest snow on earth, direct from Mother Nature.

Instead of packing more people into the resort, we are limiting lift ticket sales to 1,500 per day ensuring the lowest skier density of any major ski resort in North America. Your powder paradise is waiting just an hour from Salt Lake airport!
