Powder Mountain Health & Safety

What Powder Mountain is doing to provide a safe & healthy environment

The State of Utah has been a leader during these trying times by taking the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and providing all the resources and guidelines necessary in efforts to protect our customers and employees, and re-open the beloved tourism industry.

Powder Mountain is closely monitoring government policy changes, OSHA, CDC guidelines and government mandates in order to maintain and make the necessary changes to our protocols and procedures. Our resourceful and forward thinking team has been hard at work creating and implimenting new health and safety operating procedures for our guests as we prepare to open for summer operations. The resort is uniquely setup to provide safe social separations and open spaces due to our expansive terrain, low crowds, inverted mountain setup and distributed hubs that naturally disperse people within our national park-like setting.

On this web page you will find important information about Utah, Weber County, and Powder Mountain's health and safety efforts to ensure a comfortable and safe visit while recreating at Powder Mountain's venues, events, trails, etc.

Guest Health Protocol

As we begin welcoming back our guests for summer operations, we ask everyone to become familiar with our Guest Health and Safety Protocol. As we cannot anticipate every situation, we are asking our guests to take personal responsibility to be informed of and adhere to our basic COVID-19 preventive measures while enjoying everything Powder Mountain has to offer. Welcome Back!

  • Please adhere to all signage.
  • Practice Social Distancing by maintaining 6 feet from other guests while in our lodges, Outposts Spirits, trail heads, food service venues and parking lots.
  • Practice Proper Hygiene
  • Stay home and rest if you are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, coughing, respiratory issues, aches/pains).
  • Adhere to pre-establish seating at our eating venues.

Employee Health Protocol

We are excited to be open for summer operations and the safety of our Team is our top priority. Therefore, we have taken the necessary steps to ensure our Team remains safe while at work.

  • We are encouraging employees to work remotely when possible.
  • Practice Social Distancing. When social distancing is not an option, Powder Mountain has asked all employees to wear face masks, use face shields or place themselves behind sneeze guards.
  • Practice proper hygiene by washing hands frequently, use hand sanitizer and wear gloves.
  • Pre-Shift COVID-19 Prevention Temperature Screenings and Health Surveys.
  • Stay home and rest if they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, coughing, respiratory issues, aches/pains).

In our efforts to minimize the risk of COVID-19, we will be increasing our cleaning frequencies, placing hand sanitization stations throughout our facilities, entrances and at high use areas. All guest facing employees will be required to wear face masks.
