Happy Sunday! We’re closing out the weekend with two big moments: the start of another big storm system, and spinning Lightning Ridge for the first time this season! We’ll open with Lightning Ridge run, which provides easy access to the Sundown area and connects more of our open terrain.
The start of the next storm moved in last night, dropping trace amounts of snow across the resort overnight. Snow will continue falling throughout the day and could deliver between 2–4” by the time the lifts stop spinning. A high of 33° will keep precipitation slightly heavier at lower elevations, but with a snow level of 7,300 feet, we should see snow in all operational areas of the resort.
We’re excited about this storm, and forecasts show up to 22” of possible accumulation by the end of Monday night. Keep those snow dances going–we’re excited to know more is on the way!
Remember that we are operating under early-season conditions. Expect unmarked obstacles beneath the snow, and respect your fellow riders by skiing and riding with caution.
Additionally, all pre-season uphill travel routes are currently closed as we continue to prepare other areas of the mountain for opening. In-season uphill travel will remain closed until conditions permit the opening of our Adventure Terrain. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
