Third Annual SuperFly Open is coming to Powder Mountain March 11-14th.

Powder Mountain is one of the first, if not the only resort in the US, offering a snowkite pass and an area exclusively for snowkiting. The area between the Hidden Lake parking lot and the tower near the Sunrise lift has ideal conditions for snowkiting – sloping terrain without obstacles and frequent winds. The $20 snowkite pass provides access to this area via the Sunrise lift and one ride up Hidden Lake at the end of the day. There is also a $300 season snowkite pass available.

Learn to Snowkite at The Best Snowkite Center

The Best Snowkite Center will be one more option available in the Mountain Adventure Center.

A full range of exciting courses and clinics ranging from beginner to pro level!
Full access to dedicated snowkiting area at Powder Mountain Resort.
Transportation to and from the kite area. Students will meet at the Mountain Adventure Center and will then be transported to the area.
Harnesses, kites and bars are provided for use during the lessons, and instruction will be given with radio bibs. Students bring their own skis or snowboards and a helmet. Helmets are required!
Rentals are available through the Powder Mountain Sports Shop.

Backcountry Freeriding	$300	Proficient Rider	3 hrs	Backcountry Freeriding. Snowmobile/snowcat transport and guide support. Exploring the backcountry. Learn to understand the snow, avalanche conditions, and the changing wind conditions happening in the Mountains. Learn how to plan your trip using the proper gear and understanding snowkiting in the backcountry.	By Reservation Only. Classes will be offered only on certain days. Call us for availability. Additional guide support available for an additional $100 per hour.
Kite On Snow Clinic	$50	None	2 hr	You want to learn what snowkiting is all about? Come out and feel the power of the kite and the basics. Come out to these specific clinics! Dates: Dec. 19-20 Jan. 16-17 Feb.6-7 April 10-11.	On Snow Clinic. This is a group class. The session begins at 9 AM and 1 PM. Additional instruction and kite practice available.

No Kiting outside the designated area or on ski runs. Wear safety kite leashes to prevent accidental release into lift towers. Always be aware of non-powered skiers and snowboarders. Rig your bar lines up when your kite is down at the end of the sessions to prevent tangled lines with other skiers, snowboarders, kiters, snowcats & snowmobiles.
