Trifecta of Shred on April 2 – 3

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Powder Mountain’s presents the Trifecta of Shred on April 2 – 3, 2010. Surfers, skateboarders and snowboarders will compete in three separate competitions with the overall winner reigning as the 2010 Chairman of the Boards.

It is a natural progression to include surfing and skateboarding into the competitive mix since interest in these sports resulted in the creation of the winter version of freestyle. The Trifecta of Shred gives snowboarders an opportunity to show their respect to their ancestral roots.

The event kicks off at Crossroads Skate Park with a skateboard competition from 6 – 8 PM.  From there, participants head to the Solomon Center for the Flowrider Surf Session from  9 – 11PM.  Each of these events cost $10 per person.  Pre-registration is April 1.

The event culminates with the competition at Hidden Lake Terrain Park from 11AM – 2:30PM.  Registration is 9 – 10:30AM at Hidden Lake Lodge.  Participation is this segment is free with a valid lift pass.  The awards ceremony and the crowning of the “Chairman of the Boards”  will immediately follow at Hidden Lake Lodge.
